THE LAST E3
A downloadable game for Windows
The Year 20XX. The world is a dark and terrible place. VR Punks roam the streets, and video games are all but gone. You are the only remaining games journalist, and E3 has just begun. You need to get coverage. Run, jump, and fight your way through 40 rooms as you make your way to... THE LAST E3!
This Metroid-vania style game was created entirely over 9 days and many sleepless nights (except for the music, which I didn't make) as part of the Giant ROM 3 Game Jam, and while there's a fair bit of stuff in the game, there's also a lot missing.
***** UPDATES v1.1 *****
8/19/2016: This game was updated after the deadline and voting ended for the game jam. There were a couple of crucial things I didn't have time for during the initial nine days that have now been added, and also a change to controls based on feedback:
- Player now has health bar/damage/death.
- Checkpoints for Player respawn.
- Small change to game controls.
Things that are missing:
- Sound effects.
- Details and objects in the underground section.
- More room objects and variety in general.
- More enemy types.
- More player attacks and weapons.
- Controller support.
The list can go on for a long time, but those are the big ones. This is the first game jam I've taken part in, as I just began learning game development a year ago, and have been working on my first game. Hope you enjoy THE LAST E3!
